We last talked about the value of meditation and learning these mind-training skills before Christmas, but the new year doesn’t show any signs of being less stressful than last year! Thankfully our workshops continue and we invite you to attend one or more in the weeks and months ahead. The workshop provides an introduction to a number of meditation methods used in Buddhist practice taking us beyond our western view of mindfulness. Much of the meditation class will be held in silence. There is a discussion time so we can share our thoughts.
Throughout 2017 the workshops will follow the Tibetan Buddhist approach of mind training. I encourage you to attend all of the sessions rather than view these as one-off sessions for maximum benefit.
The Sunday morning meditations will take place once a month. Each monthly workshop will build upon the previous workshops, following the principles of Mind Training used within Tibetan Buddhist practice. You can be of any faith or philosophical belief and still gain benefit from these workshops. CPD certificates are available for those wishing to embark on deepening their understanding of meditation, Buddhist psychology and self care.
