Neuropsychology Study Group
January 18 @ 19:00 - 20:00£50.00
As a practitioner psychologist always seeking to broaden your professional skills why not consider an in depth, self-paced opportunity to learn more about neuropsychology and how it applies to you, your practice, and your clients.
- Do you want to learn more about neuropsychology?
- Do you want to join an online reading/study group with monthly online meetings from the comfort of your own home?
- Do you want to consider what you have read and how this might apply to your existing practice?
Join our online CPD reading/study group to be held on Goodreads app, where discussions can take place 24/7, and Zoom video-conferencing with all participants online the second Tuesday of the month 19:00 – 20:00. Cost £25 per month with the first two months payable in advance using the Buy Now button. Following months will be invoiced fifteen days before the month begins.
We will spend a year (yes a whole year!), considering several chapters per month, from Clinical Neuropsychology: A Practical Guide to Assessment and Management for Clinicians by Laura H. Goldstein and Jane E. McNeil. This is a text rich in theoretical and practical information for us to consider within the online group setting. Attendees will also be encouraged to post thoughts and comments on their reading via an online bookclub using Goodreads, either on the web or via an app (private to the group).
You will need to purchase the text separately as either a printed book or as a Kindle edition. Visit the link below for more information about the book and a preview. Be sure to purchase the most current, 2012, edition of the book. The Kindle edition can be notated on most versions of Kindle and devices and can be linked with Goodreads. You will also need to register with Goodreads. We will provide you with full details upon sign-up.
Places are strictly limited as this is being run as a small group of 8. You are committing to participate for the full 12 month duration of this study group — this is important both to you and the rest of the participants in the group.
IMPORTANT: This is being offered only to HCPC registered psychologists and registered trainee psychologists in their final year of training. If in doubt, please contact us first using our contact page.
